MAC Face and Body Foundation

Here in Philly it's been very humid and hot, to the point where all I want to wear is a moisturizer with spf.
I purchased MAC cosmetics face and body foundation in N9. I was on the hunt for something light to wear that would give my complexion a sheer coverage and a dewy finish. I forgot that I purchased this product when I was a teenager but didn't really appreciate it at the time lol. Now I ask myself why did it  take me so long to revisit this oldie but goodie!
This lightweight foundation has been perfect for the  summer. Due to the foundation being a water base formula it stays put all day. The coverage is sheer but one can built it up after the first application sets; love this product and highly recommend this foundation if you are looking for something light.

Small Ulta Haul

Last week I went back to Ulta to exchange the "Philosophy: Miracle Worker" face cream...after the first usage I knew I was not going to enjoy the cream, especially durning winter months when my skin craves for something rich...due to my skin being extremely dry, the Philosophy moisturizer was not emollient enough for me, my skin sucked it right up...While perusing down the aisles of Ulta I stumble upon Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturizer... When I was a teen I use to be a big fan of Aveeno skin care line, so revisting this brand was very nostalgic for me...So far I have been enjoying this daily moisturizer, it has a spf of 30 and contains vitamin A, C & E...The scent is soft and pleasant, and the formula is so nourishing...
I also purchase Freeman Facial Enzyme Mask in Pineapple... I always enjoy buying products from this line, I have yet to try one product from the Freeman line that I did not enjoy...So far I've used this mask once and so far so good, it is so gentle on the skin and the scent reminds me of summer, very tropical and crisp!

Paws & Claws

My Birthday was on Jan. 25th and I wanted to do something festive but still basic...I chose a black polish by Essie from their Encrusted Treasures Collection in Belugaria...The texture is so neat, it gives off a bejeweled finish, perfect for my birthday weekend!!!

Honey Obsessed...

Honey is not only great for relieving sore throats and giving one a boost of energy, but there are many beauty benefits of honey such as, treating a wide range of skin complaints from sensative to acne prone skin...Honey is a natural antiseptic which helps fight off bacteria and nourish skin...Cleopatra used raw honey to maintain a youthful appearance, due to the healing properties that honey contains, it replenish the skin with moisture without irritation, which is why it is found in many products from skincare, hair care and baby products!
Through out the month of December and January I have been on a honey high...It started off with the Honey & Shea hand cream by Le Couvent des Minimes that is known for their natural skincare recipes...I purchased the hand cream from Walgreens and I noticed that Ulta carries Le Couvent des Minimes as well...I never noticed before that Nivea had a variety in lip conditioners, when I first purchased the Nivea Milk & Honey chap stick, I fell in love instantly...The texture melts right into the lips and gives a subtle shine...
has anybody smelled the Marc Jacobs fragrance in Honey? I finally tried it out on myself to see how the scent settles on me, and I love it! while waiting for the train to come home a polite stranger said to me, what every you have on smells good, so you know I have to own it now lol

Ulta Beauty Haul

Happy New Years Jelly Beans!!! Hope everybody had a great holiday season; mines was pretty hetic but ended sweet! Now I can get back to blogging regularly and to start off I have a mini haul to share! The other day I went into Ulta to check out the "Tree Hut" line, there was a promotion for buy one and get the second product half off, so you know I could not pass that up lol...I never tried the Tree Hut line before but so far the scents are delicious...Also I notice the brand "C. Booth", there were so many body butters to choose from I settle on the Egyptian Argan Oil, but I think I may have to go back for the Olive Oil body butter, I have a weakness for anything with olive in it, especially with having dry skin and Olive being such a great source to aid dry and dull complexions...
I forget sometimes the large range of vendors that Ulta carries; on my way to the line I stumble upon "The Body Shop" wall and was compelled to add to my pile The Body Shop Shea Body Mist...The fragrance is light and soft, great to wear alone or to layer with a body cream or frangrance...and last but not least, while checking out I was intrigued by "Philosophy: Miracle Worker"... I remember enjoying "Hope in a Jar" so hopefully this moisturizer will be just as nice...I am already looking forward to my next trip to Ulta, it has been so long since I've paid a visit there, let alone tried new products...I look forward to giving you a review on these goodies and feel free to share suggestions of other face and body products to try out!
